Marius Mathiesen CTO sumledger

For a while now, Marius Mathiesen has been working with us as CTO at Sumledger. The impact has already been significant.

Why technical leadership matters

Building a next-generation consolidation and reporting platform requires more than ambition. It demands strong technical leadership, deep product understanding, and experience with complex financial systems.

Marius brings that combination.

Before joining Sumledger, Marius held several leadership roles within Norwegian technology companies, including executive and board positions. His background spans software development, consulting environments, and technical strategy, giving him both hands-on engineering credibility and business-level perspective.

This matters.

Consolidation software is fundamentally a data problem. It involves ERP integrations, scalable architecture, structured financial models, and high expectations for reliability. Building that correctly from the ground up requires experience with both systems design and organizational execution.

Domain knowledge in financial systems

What makes this especially valuable for Sumledger is his domain knowledge.

Marius understands financial systems architecture, data modeling for multi-entity environments, and the realities of building SaaS products for professional finance teams. That insight shapes how we approach integrations, performance, scalability, and long-term platform decisions.

We are not just building features. We are building infrastructure for modern finance teams.

Sumledger was founded with a clear ambition: to modernize consolidation and group reporting by replacing manual processes with automated, structured, and scalable workflows.

What this strengthens in Sumledger

With stronger technical leadership in place, we are reinforcing the foundation of the platform while increasing development velocity. The result is a more robust architecture, clearer product direction, and stronger execution capacity as we grow.

This is an important step for us.

And we are only getting started.

From Static Reports to AI-Driven Analysis: Introducing Sumledger Analyst

Standard reports rarely fit perfectly, and any change in structure often means more work, more maintenance, and more time spent outside the actual analysis. With Sumledger Analyst, we’re changing that.
